It's hard to keep poking fun at Sousuke when he expresses his concern though, because lately– Lately it's been really getting to him and turning his heart into mush. They do look out for each other, they do have one another's back, but saying it and showing it like this, so gently and sincere...? He almost wants to pinch himself.
What happened in Australia? I never asked before... but now I think I need to know.
Rin doesn't say anything right away, too occupied with staring at the sink and tracing meaningless shapes against his neck, but when he does, he tries to match Sousuke's soft tone as best he can, determined to meet him eye to eye and keep them balanced as they always should be.]
