POWER: Water Manipulation
The power to manipulate water. With this power, Sousuke can create, shape, and manipulate water, inorganic compound with liquid, gas (steam, water vapor), and solid (ice) states, including changing them from one state to other. Other aspects of this power include controlling currents in bodies of water, creating floods, manipulating tides and waves, waterspouts and whirlpool generations, controlling water molecule density and solidification, enhancing the body via manipulating water pressure, creating water constructs (weapons, walls, armor, allies, servants, etc), move/lift water, ice, vapor, etc. at nearly any speed, locomotion (flight or surfing) via water, and viscosity manipulation.

This power obviously plays towards Sousuke’s sports canon, which revolves around swimming. Water plays an important role in his life and relationships via the pools and his sport, while also serving as an analogy to his life, character, and dreams. He faces water as acceptance, challenge, and obstacle, so it’s romantically and emotionally logical to have him also tied to this element as his power. This ability is flexible and has a great potential to grow, while additionally being restrictive in various forms.

Generally Sousuke’s usage of this power will be controlled without having to rely on props, such as items, body movements, or the like, though he’s fully capable of making use of them if he wishes. Initially his ability will be weak and limited due to him having no clue how to use. Even as he learns to control this power, instincts and emotions can cause it to flare out of control. He’ll start out with limited control over present water, but will eventually learn to generate and manipulate water all to his own. However, even at full usage, his powers will remain limited to his god and he’ll mostly be using them for protecting his god and serving/assisting him as he can. (Though some self-indulgence isn’t impossible, right?)

CAUSE OF DEATH: Drowning. Despite being a nigh-Olympic-level swimmer, Sousuke suffers from a deliberating shoulder injury due to overtraining two years ago. He saw someone struggling out at sea during a stormy night and tried to save him. Even though his shoulder was still injured, he ignored it and dove in. He was able to reach the other person and get him to a shore-bound current, but his shoulder buckled from the strain. The ocean overpowered him and took him under and away.
