[He remembers that. Every time. It's nostalgic and makes him grin.

Until he gets serious and slings his arm back, eyes narrowed.]

[And right before he swings his hand forward, Rin stands up quickly from his seat, sending his chair falling over backward and onto the floor by the sheer force and speed at which his fist flies forward.

[The puppy's had about enough of this and promptly bounces off Sousuke's chest to settle between his legs, where there aren't arms flying around and loud noises. Just as warm though.

Sousuke slings his arm forward, his hand moving in front of his face so Rin can see the outcome.

[The moment he sees Sousuke's pick, Rin pumps his fist and nearly knocks over the mirror in the process. Hey, he's really into winning, ok?]

[He's gonna glare at his fingers for a few seconds, cause obviously they disobeyed his mind at the last second. He wanted paper.]

Shut up. [He's not done yet! He's got one more ace up the sleeve.]

[That would be silence as he gazes back at him in the mirror. He means it.

That sinister grin makes him tilts his head back a little, like that might let him get away from it, even if he's not backing down.]

[He could cackle right now, he really could. Oh, how this changes everything.]

Pretty sure I've already got something in mind.

[He's not even going to think about what he's signing up for. Sides, something more important right now.]

[Tsk, man, they already settled this with a throwdown. And while it's never been a spoken rule, typically they don't go back on the outcomes of those throwdowns. [Typically, he abides by that rule. Even if Sousuke had tried that time earlier to weasel part of the soda he'd lost in their throwdown outside the sporting store. He's got a rebellious streak in there somewhere and it comes out occasionally. By now, he's dug in too deep to get out and just has to see it through.

We weren't that far into the school year when I left... I don't know how far when you came back.

[Rin said they got as far as regionals again, so over half the school year? Nationals would be after the Spring break...]

I guess, depending where you came from.

[Admittedly, he might be hoping for that "miss it" chance. For... a stupid reason.]

It was a little into summer when I left. Well, when I left again.

[He gently rubs at his temples. Talking about the time changes and differences always hurts his head.]

Anyway, maybe that's more reason to put this off for a while. You know, sort of like a birthday present to you.
